FRS Youth Tour of Washington, D.C.
Sponsored by YK Communications
Every summer, the FRS (Foundation for Rural Service) Youth Tour brings together high school students from across rural America to visit our nation’s capital and learn about rural telecommunications. The tour provides a forum for teens to meet and interact with their peers from other rural communities, as well as, key legislative, regulatory and government figures. Since its inception in 1995, the youth tour has hosted thousands of students.
Every year, YK Communications sponsors a student from the YK Broadband Internet and Voice service area for a four-day trip to Washington, D.C.; covering all basic expenses, including travel, for the student.
The FRS Youth Tour definitely is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, with its combination of fun and education about the communications industry. We are thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to our area students. Any students seeking additional information about the Youth Tour can contact us.
