What’s the difference between download and upload speeds?

Download speed refers to the transfer of data from the internet to your device (such as opening a webpage), while upload speed refers to the transfer of data from your device to the internet (such as posting a photo on Facebook). If you have a 50/50 Mbps connection, you can expect to both download and upload data at the rate of 50 Mbps.
