Customer Relations Specialist

Department: Sales & Customer Relations

Reports To: Director of Sales & Customer Relations

Status: Full-Time & Part-Time

Salary: Base Salary, Available Commissions, Full-Time Benefits (Medical, Dental, Prescription, 401K)

 

General Summary:

Promotes and sells company products and services to new and existing customers. Educates customers on company products and services and offers current promotions and applicable bundling options. Assists with customer relations activities that may include assisting customers with service issues, billing inquiries, new service requests, disconnects and plan changes.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Promotes and sells company products and services to new and existing customers. Educates customers on company products and services and offers current promotions and applicable bundling options.
  • Assists with customer relations activities which may include assisting customers with service issues, billing inquiries, new service requests, disconnects and plan changes.
  • May assist with coverage surveys as needed.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by management.*

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of telecommunications technology, products and services.
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales practices and principles.
  • Skill in operating office equipment.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in persuasion techniques.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.

 

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent plus one to three years of specialized training in marketing. Two to three years previous marketing experience also required.
