Released March 20, 2020
We are closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. YK Communications is taking additional precautionary measures to ensure the health and safety of all our customers and staff – this is our highest priority.
Here are a few changes that we are making that may affect you as a customer:
Limited Lobby Access
Although our office will remain staffed, we are limiting walk in traffic into our lobby area. The main door will remain locked. If in-person interaction is necessary, a representative will meet you outside the door.
Paying Your Bill
We would like to encourage customers to utilize the following methods to pay your bill:
Online Bill Pay – Click here to access YKC Online Bill Pay
Payment Drop Box Locations – YK has payment drop box locations in Ganado, Louise and Markham. Click here for a list of those locations.
Pay by Phone – Contact our office at 361-771-3334 to make a payment by phone.
During this time, it is our priority to make sure that your communication services are fully functional. Our support team and technicians want to make every effort to support as many support issues by phone as possible.
If technicians are required to visit a customer location, they will confirm that no one onsite has had any signs of illness in the last 14 days.
Technicians have been encouraged to wear masks, gloves, and shoe coverings.

Higher Than Normal Internet Usage
During this time, many of our customers are working and continuing education from home. There may also be higher usage of streaming or gaming services. All of these applications require higher speeds, especially when used simultaneously, that may create buffering or lagging speeds.
If you are experiencing higher than normal usage, you can contact our support team to see if higher speeds are available at your home or office.
As we navigate these uncertain times; we encourage our communities to stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all face-to-face soon.
