Example QSO ...

Note that WA5UFH is calling CQ on 50.260 but listening on 50.264 MHz (Msg TX 6)
Bruce N5SIX Calls WA5UFH on 50.264 MHz (Msg 1)
WA5UFH when hearing a ping on 50.264 MHZ moves his transmit to 50.264 MHz (Simplex)
After entering N5SIX call to the To Radio Pane & Clicking the <GenStdMsg> button Tip selects (Msg 2)

The SOP is followed ...
WA5UFH receives BOTH CALLS Corectly and sends Both Calls Plus the report 26 (Msg 2)
N5SIX after receiving BOTH CALLS & his report corectly responds with Roger 27 i.e. R27 (Msg 3)
WA5UFH looks for and receives the Roger & Report starts sending the RRR (Msg 4)
N5SIX Receives the RRR's (At this point this is a Valid Contact)
73's are sent but not required for a contact however it will let the other operator know you have received his RRR's and he can stop.

 

Variations:

On shared frequencies Tagged / Appended or sometimes called RH messages should be used.

Msg 3 would be UFH R27

Msg 4 would be SIX RRR

Msg 5 would be UFH 73
