The WSJTGROUP weak signal protocol.
This protocol is for the VHF/UHF contests.

When the band is dead at your location or late night/early morning hours:

1. Even UTC hours - first 45 minutes call CQ using the offset method on the six
meter WSJT calling frequency, 50.260, or monitor the calling frequency and respond to calls.
2. Odd UTC hours - first 45 minutes call CQ using the offset method on the two
meter WSJT calling frequency, 144.140, or monitor the calling frequency and respond to calls.

General Suggestions:
1. Single band stations should use both odd and even UTC hours.
2. Attempt to qsy 'easy' contacts to another band including 220 MHz.
3. Listen for stations who might "tailend" your contacts.  always use your
grid as reports.
4. Use your "Grid" as the report. (first four characters)
5. If a frequency is occupied use appended messages.
6. Except for Rovers, do not include your Grid in your Tx1 Message since it might be confused
as a "rpt".
7. When attempted contacts runs past the focus window times, continue till
complete.
8. When someone has called you, don't give up too early. A good rule of
thumb is; if you decoded both calls the contact 'should be' completed.
9. Idle time 45 minutes after the hour till the top of the hour take a break
or check the ssb call frequency for new initials.

How to QSY a completed contact.
After RRR's are exchanged :
Instead of 73 Create a message QSY xxx or 6M xxx or 2M xxx
Example to move a station from six meters to 144.132 send (QSY 132 or 2M 132 or 132)
QSY Request with RRR message.
RR QSY xxx or RR  6M xxx or RR 2M xxx or RR xxx

When you receive a QSY Request
QSY to the new frequency using same sequence and Tx 1 or  Send RR xxx or RR 2M or RR 6m then QSY
to new frequency using the same sequence and Tx 1.

    or

If you are not going to QSY send NO 2M or NO 6M or NO  instead of the 73 message. When the other
station receives the message he will respond with 73.
