| YK Communications’ broadband services typically work through a local area connection (LAN) and require that your computer have an IP Address set in your Networking properties. DHCP is a wonderful protocol that allows your computer to automatically obtain and IP Address, so that you do not have to manually configure an IP Address for each computer on your network. |

| To ensure that your computer is configured to use DHCP and obtain an IP Address automatically, we have created a set of simple to follow instructions. |

| From your Windows Desktop, click "Start" |

| Click on “Control Panel” |
 |
| |
| Click on “Network and Internet Connections” |
 |
| |
| Click on “Local Area Connection” |
 |
| |
| Click “Properties” on the “Local Area Connection Status” panel. |

| You should find a check mark
already in the box next to
“Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)”. Double Click
“Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)” . |

| Select "Obtain an IP Address automatically” |
| Select “Obtain DNS server addresses automatically” |
 |
| |
| Click the “OK” button |
| Click the next “OK” button |
| Close the “Network Connections” panel |
| |
| Next, from your Windows Desktop, click "Start" select "Control Panel”, then select “Network and Internet Connec…” |
| Click the "Internet Options" icon |
| Click on the "Connections" tab |
| Select "Never dial a connection" |
| Click "Apply", then click "OK" |

| Your computer will now automatically use your YK Communications’ broadband connection for your Internet needs. |
