Jackson County is home to many bald eagles. In fact, there are eight viable eagles' nests in the county, according to information released by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department.
For information on one of the first counties in the state of Texas, please email your request or comments to us. Jackson County has a long, successful tradition as a business-friendly community. The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to maintaining that tradition.

Jackson County is located at the head of the Lavaca and Carancahua Bays in southern Texas and is the center of the Gulf Coast side of a Houston-San Antonio-Corpus Christi triangle. Jackson county is 90 miles southwest of Houston, 100 miles northeast of Corpus Christi, and 130 miles southeast of Austin and San Antonio.
